ANZAC celebrations

Welcome back to a new term. WE have been busy looking at ANZAC Day information and learning lots of new facts,
Did you know that there are three different colours for the poppies? Red for the people, white for peace and purple to celebrate the animals.
Our class made amazing poppies and used old World War1 letters and books as the background for the poppies.
In school we have a remembrance field of crosses to remember the Southland people killed in the first World War.
Morgan is wearing a Nurse's cape from the first World War that Mrs Ball's great Aunt wore as a nurse.
